Info from a member to be read and shared with the members and board members of the MPAA

My Name is Kyle Miller, MPAA member, and over the past weeks I attaned the MPAA. Convence down in Kansas City Mo.

There was meeting that was held, asking to have members talk to non members to become members, And tell them to, join and talk to them. How it could benefit them to become a member, of the MPAA. To have more consistence’s for bid, calling, (Auctioneer contest), And for general membership. How I was happy to help in that, And how I was willing and ready to do that. Tell I learned something I feel is wrong. And I’m A little at shocked at what I have learned. I would like to recommend a change, that I think will only help in getting more people, to join, and stay a member. And participate in the bid calling contest. But as I feel that as an Auctioneer, should be paid, for what he/she sale’s. As it help to off set the cost, of the convention to do the contest I think that is a bit much to do A take all.

Also As for the Auctioneer, also buys the items to sale, and also pays to be judged, at the contest. As some Auctioneers, make their living, by full time Auctioneering, and every item they sale counts. They have paid there dues, and licenses, and fee of entry, and brought items that have a value or bought items worth the requirement of twenty-five dollars each. And then find out you don’t get a investment back (check), from the item’s you bring to sale dose not seem right. I Also belong to Another Association And they do a takeout percent of what is sold at the bid Calling Contest Auction. I think a good percent would be tweentyfive percent take out and the remaining balance goes to the Auctioneer that sold their Items. Also ask for donations for the fun Auction Witch dose very well.

One way for the Association to make money would be to use the fun Auction to help make more money is to have logo marketing items sold At Auction as a fundraiser type Fun Auction to help support the MPAA. also ask for donations for the fun Auction From Fellow Members and Stores Around or the Vendors That have came in to help support the Association and sell their information is another source for asking for donations for the fun Auction to help with raising money Witch dose very well. I my self would not mind Donating Items to help if I where Asked to bring one or two items for the Fun Auction. You could sale them Items at the State fair proceeds from that would help build a bigger better Association.
